Appleton Post Crescent Obituaries: A Tribute to Life
The Appleton Post Crescent recently published three obituaries in tribute to the lives of three individuals who passed away. The first was for Ruth Haas, who passed away at the age of 97. Ruth was born in Appleton and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Appleton Women’s Club. She is survived by her son, David, and her daughter, Jane.
The second was for John Doe, who passed away at the age of 84. John was born in Neenah and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired machinist and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and his two sons, John and Robert. The third was for Mary Smith, who passed away at the age of 86. Mary was born in Appleton and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan and Patricia.

Marjorie Ann Johnson
Marjorie Ann Johnson, 87, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2020, at her home, with her family by her side.
appleton post crescent obituaries Marjorie was born on August 15, 1932, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred (nee Johnson) Paulson. On September 1, 1951, she married Robert Johnson at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2010.
Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and baking.

She will be dearly missed by her children, David (Cindy) Johnson, Diane (Richard) Zuege, and Nancy (Paul) Bartel; grandchildren, Bradley (Caroline) Johnson, Brian Johnson, Jennifer (Joe) Schommer, and Stephanie (Nathan) Wagner; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Emily, and Margaret Johnson, and Nora and Levi Schommer; sister, Lois (the late John) Ruppel; and brother, Robert (Gloria) Paulson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant daughter, Julie Johnson.
A funeral service for Marjorie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, 500 W. Main Street, Waukesha, WI. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
